Barbara Hansen, Founder & Owner

Barbara has a passion for helping small business owners and individuals manage and grow their financial well-being.  With 35 years of experience in QuickBooks, she has a comprehensive knowledge of accounting and auditing principles, A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger postings, invoicing, and regulatory compliance guidelines. 
 
Her extensive knowledge of QuickBooks has allowed her to help small business owners in the service, retail, oil, hospitality, construction, and manufacturing industries just to name a few.  She presently works with CPA Firms throughout Massachusetts to provide clean financial reports for year end purposes.  Her knowledge of balance sheet line items leads to many referrals from CPA’s to clean up companies QuickBooks files.  In addition to her Intuit certifications – each one representing her extensive knowledge of QuickBooks and its related products, Barbara is also licensed as a Certified Public Bookkeeper.
 
Barbara and her husband, Gary, moved to Cape Cod in 1986 during the “building boom of the 80’s.”  At that time, Barbara began using QuickBooks for her husbands’ construction business which lead to many more bookkeeping jobs; a job that provided her the stability to raise her 3 children in the charming seaside town of Chatham.  

Ashley (Hansen) Kilgallon,
​Senior Bookkeeper

Born and raised in Chatham, Ashley joined Hansen Business Solutions in August of 2017.  Since joining her mom, Barbara, at HBS, Ashley has developed her own network of clients who she looks forward to assisting each and every day.  Prior to working for HBS, Ashley worked with the Boston Bruins, Red Sox Foundation and The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care where she planned charitable events ranging in size from 6 to 17,000+ people.  Ashley has also been involved with brand strategy and marketing campaigns and has the knowledge to help businesses establish their identity.

A 2013 graduate of Northeastern University, Ashley and her husband, Dave, moved to the Cape in April 2019 with their two dogs.  Ashley has been very involved with local organizations having served on the Board of the Chatham Merchants Association (2018 - 2021), Vice President of the Chatham Merchants Association (2020 - 2021), Treasurer of the Harwich Mariners (2018 - 2023), Secretary of the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame Committee (2020 - 2021), Board of Directors of the Cape Cod Baseball League Hall of Fame Committee (2022 - Present) and Secretary of the Cape Cod Baseball League (2022 - present).
​​Emma Noakes, Bookkeeper
Emma joined the Hansen Business Solutions team in 2020. Since becoming a part of the team, Emma has established a wide-ranging network of clientele in a variety of industries, such as transportation, construction, retail, service, and landscaping. Born and raised in Chatham, she also brings with her over a decade of experience in retail management and human services, with a broad understanding of what local businesses need to grow and remain successful. With a passion for helping those around her, Emma works closely with each of her clients to ensure proper practices are in place to help their businesses run as efficiently and effectively as possible.
